Charitable donations
Doing good business is what Skylos Collective is all about. We donate 2% of our profit to the Animal Welfare Society of South Africa, an organisation based in Cape Town that cares for the city’s underprivileged and neglected animals.
The team at AWS are on a mission to advance the rights, health and wellbeing of animals and they do this through many ways:
Professional veterinarian care
The team help every patient in need and in 2021 this equated to 6 863 surgical procedures, conducted 10 693 consultations. Anyone who has an animal in need is welcome to bring their pet to AWS animal hospital in Philippi, Cape Town.
Humane education, sterilisation & outreach projects
AWS runs education programs teaching proper animal care. They also run sterilisation programs in communities to reduce the number of strays etc. For dogs & cats the team sterilised more than 2,300 animals!
Adoption & foster programs
The dedicated team in the animal care centre are responsible for finding forever homes for the animals but also giving the best quality of life during their time at AWS. In 2021 the team rehired 1114 animals!
